These leaders help us mobilize thousands of volunteers every year, and address any number of community issues including homelessness, hunger, animal rescue, disaster recovery, environmental protection and more.
This is a great way to support your community, while gaining valuable leadership experience and professional skills in the areas of management, communication, marketing and recruitment. Your challenge is to help BVU make volunteerism viral in Baltimore! Commit to a cause you are passionate about and mobilize a group of your peers to join you to affect change in our community. Once you have planned and completed your project, we ask you to join BVU in our mission to spread the volunteer spirit. You can do this by continuing to support your chosen cause/organization, promoting the benefits of volunteerism to everyone you know and most importantly, and empowering the volunteers you’ve recruited to become Service Ambassadors just like you!
The Service Ambassador training will teach you how to engage and motivate small teams of volunteers in projects that benefit our community. BVU will provide you with the resources necessary to identify a meaningful service project, utilize your professional leadership skills and create a memorable team-building experience for you and your friends, family, and/or co-workers. This training will also cover how to communicate details of a project with your volunteers in preparation for an event, manage logistics on the day of, and evaluate what you and your team are able to accomplish together!
