Baltimore, Md. (June 25, 2009) In connection with Reznick Group’s national commitment to support local communities through volunteerism, more than 130 employees of the firm’s Baltimore office participated in its 3rd annual Community Outreach Day on June 19, 2009.
Organized into teams of 10-30 people, Reznick Group employees fanned out across the Baltimore metropolitan area and assisted eight nonprofit organizations with volunteer projects at various project sites. This year, Reznick Group joined forces with the following nonprofits as part of the office’s annual event:
To help identify the nonprofit organizations, Reznick Group partnered with Business Volunteers Unlimited Maryland (BVU), which connects local business professionals with nonprofit organizations seeking volunteers.
“This is the third year that our office has participated in the day of service and everyone really feels like they’re making a difference. We actually schedule the event a year in advance and employees look forward to the day throughout the year,” said Bill Riley, principal in Reznick Group’s Baltimore office. “The stories that people share after the event are moving and inspirational to all. We are glad we have the opportunity to give back to the community in which we work,” added Riley.
Community Outreach Day grew out of a strong interest by the firm to get involved with charitable activities.
